Pastor

Rev. Rebecca Turner became Pastor in 2017. She has a diverse background serving three different denominations and doing interfaith non-profit justice work. She is deeply committed to the UCC value of extravagant welcome, working to build a safe community for all of God's children. She has a Masters degree in Religion and believes in life-long learning. Pastor Becky loves Christ Church, music, hiking with her dog Houdini, and her granddaughter!

Director of Music Ministries

Dr. Ray Landis has a DMA in Organ Performance and 30 years of experience in church music. Ray's approach to music ministry is informed by interaction with different cultures and a strong sense of social justice. As co-founder and past president of the Sunshine Cultural Arts Center of East St Louis, he continues to develop music-based youth programs. Enjoying music-making with all ages and talent levels, Ray encourages the creative gifts in all of us!

Office Manager

From communications to commissary, Pam Hardester is the one who keeps this active church running smoothly. Pam has a Masters Degree in Instructional Technology and worked in secondary education for 17 years, 11 of them as a technology coordinator. She and her husband Kevin have 5 sons who keep them busy between school and sports, and they wouldn't have it any other way.

Caretaker

Alex Garcia takes care of our building, provides custodial service, fixes things that break down, and keeps our classic old building standing. He is a genius with a paintbrush and a hammer and can generally figure out how to make anything work.

Council President

Jan Pryibil is our Church Council President, guiding our lay leadership to make responsible decisions for the future of our congregation. She's also the one to turn to for amazing baked goods.

The church lives its mission because a lot of people give their time and talents to serve the church. Some garden, some clean, some teach, some sing, some plan...each person is needed for us to be a whole and healthy body of Christ.
